Item Info

Many coffee aficionados believe the French-press plunger method of brewing is the best way to bring out the richest flavor of the beans. This coffee press from Primula employs that method to brew eight cups of aromatic coffee, about enough for four people to have a large mug each. To use, simply put medium-to-coarse ground coffee in the bottom of the container, add hot (not boiling) water, wait approximately three minutes, and slowly press down the plunger with the stainless-steel mesh filter. All the grounds will be captured below the filter, leaving the coffee ready to pour and enjoy. Designed with striking stainless-steel frames that feature four parallel bars and angular handles, the coffee maker and four matching cups make a great gift for someone who appreciates the modern look. Unlike some presses that use polycarbonate containers, this set is made with glass inserts that can be removed for easy cleaning. The plunger and filter unit also disassembles for cleaning. The model number of this set is PCP-1208. --Ann Bieri What's in the Box

I bought this coffee maker for my husband this past Christmas because he wanted something to make espresso. I took a chance on this very simple machine with no reviews at the time. He tells me that he really likes it and it is simple to use and to clean. The only thing he mentioned was that the coffee is not really hot enough to drink when it is done (to his liking) so he microwaves it for a few more seconds. He said that this even happens to him when he buys coffee at Starbucks so it is a "coffee thing." I do not drink coffee so this was all new to me and since I paid under $40.00 for the machine (including shipping and handling) it was a good experience for me.I recommend the machine and the company I purchased it from. It is a nice, little machine for those who want a simple, quick espresso in the morning and do not want to deal with electrical cords, noise, or melting parts (as I have read in other reviews of other machines). I am happy to say that I am happy with this choice!
