If you crave an industrial 70's "Lufthansa" aesthetic, the details of this press will please you. It has a neatly die-cut outer holder for the glass sleeve, and all stainless plunger parts. The restrained use of thermal plastic is for comfort / insulation only, not cheapness. I think it's handsome and I'm glad to add it to my growing coffee making options. This .9 L press brews 2 big mugs/ or 3 cups. Good for 2 people on the go. I can't give it 5 stars because the cover/lid design is lacking panache. The domed Chambord is certainly a prettier Sunday morning choice, but this one has a chill work week ethic.
