I love my bodum coffee press travel mug! I rarely use it for coffee, though...I mainly use it for homemade milks - it keeps the "pulp" on the bottom and keeps my milk smooth!In addition to coffee & "milks", also great for loose teas, pulpy juice, herbed drinks, medicinal concoctions, mojitos, etc.)Features:- great strain, very fine mesh (the finest I've seen)- easy clean- stainless inside- fits in cupholders- easy flow drink- mouth piece generally protected when snapped closed- mouth piece cover snaps into place when open, so it doesn't flop back- doesn't leak (I keep it upright, though)- easy to clean- no odor (it's surprising how many drink/food containers have an odor! Odors are icky.)- silicone-looking gasket in lid is completely removable, to ensure cleanliness (& possible replacement)- silicone sleeve for hot beverages or cold days (FYI: has words embossed on it: "bodum. The fresh way to brew fresh coffee & tea")- sleeve also provides a bit of extra grip, for better handling- sleeve can slide off, to ensure cleanliness underneath, etc- bottom surface is matching silicone, prevents sliding & scratchingStrainer circle can be removed (unscrewed from the post) for cleaning. There are many threads and I have never had a problem with it coming off when not intended. I purchased the Bodum 16oz travel coffee press & mug with my birthday gift card. I love this mug! It is simple to use, just add coffee, hot water, stir, press down the plunger, then add in your choice of creamer &/or sweetener through the spout. The coffee is fresh brewed and keeps it's flavor as the insulated mug keeps it hot for a long time. Occasionally the plunger can be hard to push down if you have not used coarse ground coffee but stirring usually gets rid of the problem. Makes a great gift for a coffee lover! As an avid tea and coffee lover who also appreciates convenience, this was a fabulous choice for me. The screen filtration disc unscrews easily from the plunger, making it very easy to thoroughly clean. All seals remain intact, even after nearly a year of daily use. Air flow is fabulous, and when the cap is sealed, the air hole/vent is also sealed, preventing leakage if tipped as well as preventing early cooling of a hot beverage. This model also retains heat for hours if kept sealed, but that is at room temperature, and has not been tested in extreme temperature environments. The only con is that coffee easily stains the filter disc, so I primarily use this for rooibos tea and am considering getting a separate one for coffee if the price is right later on. Also, some units come with a second cap (sans plunger), so if you have the opportunity to get one that comes with both, it will give you more options for your traveling and drinking pleasure. Future models would ideally contain a small screw-on compartment for storage of grounds/leaves for a second cup if the opportunity for more hot water strikes. Fits nicely into car cup holders.
