The two glass walls are not sealed properly during the manufacturing process. A good industrial or medical lab magnifier shows a separation where the two walls of glass meet and where they are supposed to be sealed. Pouring any amount of cold or tepid water inside the carafe results in the water going between the two glass walls of the carafe. It is a serious design and manufacturing flaw that makes this product unusable. It should not be sold.
